The Paediatric Palliative Care National Action Plan was a project of Palliative Care Australia, funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care. The project identified 18 actions which will move the paediatric palliative care sector towards improved quality, access, and collaboration. One of these actions was to:

Establish a national Research Cooperative Group in paediatric palliative care to identify priorities in research and support components of research where a collaborative approach is warranted.

The Paediatric Palliative Care Centre of Research Excellence is the realisation of the action item, and will work towards the delivery of other action items in the plan. Members of our team were involved in the project undertaking qualitative work and write up.
